“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV

This is Kevin William Rascoe, and welcome to my weekly devotional/blog.

Today’s scripture: “Moses assures Israel of the constant presence of God with them.

“This is applied by the apostle to all God’s spiritual Israel, to encourage their faith and hope; unto us is this gospel preached, as well as unto them; he will never fail thee, nor forsake thee, Heb. 13:5.” — Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary.

In the 1990 classic Home Alone, 8-year-old Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, is accidentally left home alone in suburban Chicago, where intruders try to break in.

That’s just a movie, but child abandonment happens every day; however, the Heavenly Father is a parent who will never leave His child alone, especially when they’re under attack by the enemy.

THE MESSAGE: You might feel alone in a relationship, or you might feel surrounded by only debt, poverty, and worry, and feel abandoned. But God didn’t even leave the thief on the cross in darkness.

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” — Luke 23:43 NKJV

So, He will never leave or forsake you; His Word is bond.

Until next time, God bless!

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV

If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and repented of your sins, then do so now because there is no guarantee you’ll have another opportunity tomorrow (Romans 10:9-10).

The youth need to read children’s books. So, why not give them a children’s Christian book that’s written for a child but contains a lesson for all? ORDER TODAY: Episode 3.
