I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. — Psalm 34:4, NKJV.
This is Kevin William Rascoe, and welcome to my weekly devotional/blog.
Today’s scripture: “David’s prayers helped to silence his fears; many besides him have looked unto the Lord by faith and prayer, and it has wonderfully revived and comforted them.” — Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary.
Do you have the kind of fear that carries you on a fantastical trip of worry, or do you have faith that overshadows fear because you believe that with God all things are possible (Matt. 19:26)?
Do you have so much fear within you that nothing positive seems to happen in your life? Or do you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, who will comfort you (John 14:26)?
And at night, do you have fearful thoughts that everything is going awry, or do you fall into a deep, peaceful slumber because you know He does not sleep and everything will be all right (Prov. 3:24)?
THE MESSAGE: Question: Do you have fear or faith?
If it’s not faith, then grab the Word of God: read it, believe it, and apply it to your daily life.
Until next time, God bless!
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. — Psalm 34:4, NKJV.
If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and repented of your sins, then do so now because there is no guarantee you’ll have another opportunity tomorrow (Romans 10:9-10).
