Always Be Thankful

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18, NKJV.

This is Kevin William Rascoe, and welcome to my weekly devotional/blog.

Today’s scripture: “In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22, Paul lists seven duties of Christians that when applied in practical ways, will assist in spiritual growth and maturity. The first is to rejoice, or be happy and glad evermore, meaning at all times (v. 16).

“The second is to never cease from praying (v. 17), the third is to always be thankful and appreciative (v. 18)…” — The Perry Stone Study Bible.

Every day, be thankful for what God has done for you, even when your bank account is bare, your car breaks down, or your family, relationships, and health, or anything else, are falling apart.

Remember, He will never leave or forsake you, especially during hardship (Deut. 31:6).

THE MESSAGE: There’s always something to be thankful for, not just at Thanksgiving; however, know you have the Father who’s known for supplying your every need (Phil. 4:19; Matt.14:19-21).

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. — Ephesians 3:20, NKJV.

Until next time, God bless!

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18, NKJV.

If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and repented of your sins, then do so now because there is no guarantee you’ll have another opportunity tomorrow (Romans 10:9-10).

The youth need to read children’s books. So, why not give them a children’s Christian book that’s written for a child but contains a lesson for all? ORDER TODAY: Episode 3.
