So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. — Genesis 3:6, NKJV.
This is Kevin William Rascoe, and welcome to my weekly devotional/blog.
Today’s scripture: “All sin falls under three categories: lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (see 1 John 2:16).” — The Perry Stone Study Bible.
Social media and TV, today’s serpent, have introduced us to the forbidden.
And unfortunately, most have accepted the fruit of gossip, greed, hate, lust, fornication, and fatherless homes, which has produced a generation that has embraced it as the norm.
However, we need society, especially the youth, to taste and desire the fruit of the Spirit:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23, NKJV.
And maybe this is a start:
“Texas and Utah have recently mandated the inclusion of Bible passages in K-12 public school curricula.” — AI Overview.
THE MESSAGE: Consume wisely.
Help make the world a better place by consuming and applying the Word of God in your daily life.
Until next time, God bless!
